230 employees of GA barbeque and seafood restaurant receive $104,000 in back wages

FAYETTEVILLE, GA. – News release from the U.S. Department of Labor

The U.S. Department of Labor has recovered $104,089 in back wages for 230 restaurant workers employed by Fayetteville-based This Is It! BBQ & Seafood at five of its Georgia locations. 

This action followed an investigation by the department’s Wage and Hour Division that found violations of the minimum wage, overtime and record-keeping provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

LEESBURG, GA - Tuesday April 19th is National hiring Day for McDonald’s restaurants across the country.

McDonald’s hopes to hire 50,000 new workers across the country.

Stores in the Albany area are looking for additional employees.

Positions such as crew members and management are looking to be filled.

Wendy's and the American Cancer Society team up to fight cancer

ALBANY, GA – Wendy’s is teaming up with the American Cancer Society to support Relay for Life.

On Tuesdays, from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m., eat at any Wendy's restaurant, from March 8 - April 12, and help support the fight against cancer.
