Missing 12-year-old autistic boy found | News
LEE COUNTY, GA (WALB)- A 12-year-old boy who went missing for more than 5 hours has been found and is safe Thursday night. The young man who has Aspergers syndrome prompted a massive search. He was located about 10:40 p.m.
Jacob Ranew was last seen around 5:30 p.m. at Leighton Drive and Creekside Drive.
A Georgia State Patrol helicopter was brought in along with search dogs. Dozens of Volunteers gathered at a command post outside Sovereign Grace Church to search for the boy who has a condition similar to autism.
We're told he was found in some woods off Creekside Drive and is doing ok.
