Lee wrestler signs with Darton | News
Darton wrestling coach Chris Fleeger is able to recruit some of the top wrestlers from around the nation.
Fleeger is happy to sign one of the top wrestlers in south Georgia Thursday morning.
Lee County's Rashaud Anthony is the first signee in the Darton wrestling class.
Anthony was the state runner-up in the 113-pound division in the AAAA state tournament.
He is also holds the career and season record for wins at Lee County.
Anthony has also wrestled in the Darton and Lee County club programs.
Rashaud Anthony said. "This has been my dream ever since I started my 9th grade year. To continue to wrestle. I have decided to extend my career and compete with the best."
Chris Fleeger said. "He is a kid that you don't have to worry about. We know what his character is. We don't just see him out there on the mat. I see him 3 or 4 times a week. To sign someone like that just means a ton to the program."
Rashaud Anthony is the first Lee County wrestler to sign a college scholarship.
